This site was originally opened as Celebrity Instincts, on 20th June, 2006. When I first opened the site, it was a crappy freewebs site. I only had paint at that time so my graphics were like rubbish. I put the site on hiatus and forgot about the site after a while. I went onto open other sites but they never lasted long.
I only remembered about my site when I sent my self a password reminder for one of my other sites which has now closed. I decided I wanted a personal site so I re-opened Celebrity Instincts. I had only re-opened it for a while when I was hosted by Mimi at Divergente
After a while, I decided to revamp my site. I was still on the domain "Adored-beauty", and Mimi told me it was going to run out, it got re-newed, but I decided I needed a change, so I moved to "Divergente". At first I wasn't sure of a new site name so I decided to call it lauren.divergente.org.
Unfortunatly my love for revamps continued so when my sister asked if she ould merge her site with mine, I put the site on revamp. This led to about 3 months, where I almost forgot about the site. My sister and I added some new graphics, sections and more to the site and re-opened (again) on the 7th February 08. Hopefully this is the last time this site will be re-opening.
The Name
When this site orginally switched to Divergente, I had no idea of what to call it. I knew I didn't want to keep Celebrity Instincts, because switching to Divergente was supposed to be a new chapter for the site, so I wanted a new name. At first I came up with the name True Faith, after watching series 3 of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, where Faith pretends to be someone. This made me think that alot of people are like this, and they don't show their trues faces. I was just about to call it True Faith, when my sister Sarah came up with the name Hidden Life. I thought this was a really cool name, and it had the same meaning behind it that True Faith had, so I decided to christen the site HIDDEN LIFE
